The Immigration Atlas of the Montreal CMA in 2001 has been updated significantly in recent months. Phase I contains a portrait of immigration in the Montreal Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) in 2001, including 170 maps depicting the distribution and concentration of immigrants in the CMA. Maps depict immigrants by period of immigration, region of birth, country of birth, mother tongue, ethnic origin, visible minority group, and religious affiliation. Each map is accompanied by a short analytical text, and a number of interactive features have been included in this update of the atlas to facilitate the exploration and analysis of the maps. The atlas is available in both French and English at http://atlasim2001.inrs-ucs.uquebec.ca.
