Description and presenters:
14.00 Bus departure from De Doelen (minimum 5 participants)
14.15 Presentations at the Mevlana Mosque by:
N. Sungur, chair of the Mevlana Mosque, will talk about the history of the Mevlana Mosque, the social activities that take place within the mosque, the co-operation between the mosque and other institutions, the mosque's intermediairy role between the municipal departments and regular visitors of the mosque.
Ms. Maaike Groen, advisor of the Municipal Department for Urban Planning and Housing, will give a short introduction into the municipal mosque policy.
Ibrahim Spalburg, director of the Foundation Platform of Islamic Organisations Rotterdam (Spior), will introduce his platform, which receives a municipal subsidiy.
There will be a brief moment for questions and discussion.
