Workshop description:
The aim of the workshop will be to share and discuss experience and examples of best practice in using public sector purchasing arrangements (contract compliance) to: (i) influence employment policy, procedures and outcomes in the private sector and (ii) encourage, develop and use contractors from diverse and non-traditional backgrounds. The workshop will draw on the experience of contract compliance in the UK and elsewhere (hopefully USA and at least one other EU country). It will also examine the implications of relevant ER directives on use of non-commercial requirements in public contracts.
